Privacy policy

This policy explains what Was It Reported? collects, why it is collected, and the choices available to you.

Who operates this site

Was It Reported? is operated and sponsored by ME Lawyers, APLC. The site combines publicly available municipal records with an optional request for legal follow-up.

Information we collect

You may search by location, incident date, city, and record category without first providing contact information. If you ask to see exact record details or request a review, we collect the name, phone number, email address, incident information, consent selection, and search context you submit.

We may also collect ordinary technical information such as browser type, approximate location derived from an IP address, referring page, campaign parameters, and interactions needed to secure and improve the service.

How information is used

Search information is used to query, rank, and display potentially relevant public records. Contact information is used by ME Lawyers, APLC to respond to your request, review the circumstances you describe, communicate by phone, text, or email when you consent, maintain records, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

Sharing and retention

Information may be shared with service providers that support hosting, analytics, communications, intake, and data storage, subject to appropriate obligations. We do not sell personal information for money. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute resolution, security, and recordkeeping.

Your choices

Submitting the contact form is optional, and consent to be contacted is not a condition of purchase. You may request access to or correction or deletion of personal information, or ask to stop marketing communications, by contacting ME Lawyers, APLC through its official website. Some records may be retained where legally required.

Public records and third parties

Municipal record data comes from public agencies and may be delayed, incomplete, corrected, or removed at the source. Links to maps, agencies, or other third-party services are governed by those services’ own policies.
